Some of you may remember that, a few years ago, I wrote a light-hearted cozy cat mystery called Trouble Most Faire. It was set at a Renaissance Faire and had a clever little potbellied pig as a sidekick, and it was altogether a delight to write.
It was a multi-author series, and for a variety of reasons, the publisher will no longer be releasing them, so I now have the rights and will be writing the series with a new cat (Marley the Great) under a new pen name, Bethany Chandler.
Why a new pen name? Because this series is about as far as you get from my gritty PI series, and the Algorithms That Be are easily confused by authors who write in a variety of genres. They end up showing cat cozies to readers of dark mysteries and dark mysteries to people who want to read cat cozies, and then, when people don’t buy, they stop showing them to anyone.
So…I guess that’s a long way of saying that, if you like cats and/or cozy mysteries, you might want to check out “Bethany’s” new website. And f you join The Cat’s Meow newsletter, you can get a free Marley the Great short story.
If cats and cozies aren’t your thing, no worries. There’s news from the darkish side coming soon!
